About Wilson Kutegeka

Wilson Kutegeka is a software developer in Kampala-Uganda, an expert in analyzing, designing, developing, implementing and supporting corporate software that follow an object oriented methodology and has developed computer software in more than six computer programming languages and technologies. Currently, he has put his focus on Visual Basic, C#, PHP, JavaScript, T-SQL, MS SQL Server, MySQL among others.

On 22 Jan 2010, The Investor of the Year Award 2009 by Uganda Investment Authority (UIA), presented to Wilson Kutegeka an award For Innovativeness in the Field of Science and Technology for the development of ClinicMaster Software.


The State Minister for Finance responsible for Investments in Uganda, Mr. Kajara Aston handing over the award to Wilson Kutegeka.

In 2008, 2009 and 2010, Wilson Kutegeka was awarded with the Microsoft® Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award in Visual Basic programming language by Microsoft International for his exceptional contributions to technical communities, sharing his high-quality, real-world technical expertise, knowledge, and know-how with the community and Microsoft. He is the first Ugandan to receive such a prestigious award from Microsoft.

Mr. Kutegeka has mainly been developing applications in the healthcare sector, especially those that facilitate research in HIV/AIDs vaccine and treatment. His main development is the ClinicMaster Software, a healthcare information management and medical billing software. It automates patients’ transactions in the clinic on a visit basis and daily procedures especially those on Antiretroviral (ARVs). He is also the founder and leader of an INETA (International .NET Association) registered Uganda Dot NET User Group.

Before joining things high-tech, this graduate of physics who decided to put apparatuses aside, had a successful carrier as a high school teacher of physics and mathematics.
